Re: Is the SNES the easiest to portablize
The NES is probably easier. I think the SNES is not extremely difficult, either.

No way, two different cart slots. Atari made some of their computers backwards compatible, but the Wii is nintendo's first to have that.attacknick wrote:btw is the snes backwards compatable?

Re: Is the SNES the easiest to portablize
I think the Gamecube's GBA Player wouldd like a moan too and Pokemon Stadium for the N64, could play pokemon Red and Yellow if i'm not mistaken and technically the Snes was too with the Gameboy Player cartnevermind1534 wrote:Their first one that's not a handheldthemadhacker wrote:the Wii is nintendo's first to have that.

And if you're complaining they're all portable games, the N64 had the Trident 64 I think, but whatever it's name was it could play NES games.

Re: Is the SNES the easiest to portablize
The Superjoys are the easiest. They're dirt cheap, and run on a pretty wide input voltage range.
Re: Is the SNES the easiest to portablize
and snes cartslot is harder to relocate than other systems according to ben's book
I bring justice to its avoiders, and pain to its resistors.

Re: Is the SNES the easiest to portablize
Just use my easy solution: put a propane torch to itmegabite wrote:and snes cartslot is harder to relocate than other systems according to ben's book
That actually works very well if you are somewhat careful with the torch. You can have it desoldered in a matter of seconds. This is the method that I usually use for that type of job.

huh, reminds me of the rattle-can artist that was drying his artwork with flames and caught the artwork on fire and ruined it
then he made another one and it was amazing!

I just used my method about an hour ago to remove the expansion port and some other things from my NES board.
