I volunteer for that one! As soon as I find another Super Joy III I'm finishing my NOAC portable, dangit! Maybe that could serve as a live demonstration?

If someone toes along a projector with S-video inputs we can play Atari on a 10' wide screen

Does that NOAC look like an N64 controller with a light gun on the front? If so, I've got one of those...

Is anyone going to bring a TV with S-video inputs? If not then I will have to figure something out. Maybe get a S-Video to VGA and I can pick up a cheap LCD monitor and just mail it to someone? I don't know but I really need a S-Video equipped LCD for my demonstration and flying doesn't help

knowing my typical tendancy to do things at the last minute im SURE i will have one or two things to work on while im at the show and im awesome at fielding questions and stuff like that so i dont mind manning the table! will also have my everun note by then and me and skyone might set up a live webcast of the show, or some video blogging! and i can easily set up a slideshow or two with all the pictures of my half finished crap  and i can install frontpage on the laptop so anyone can bring me an SD card or usb stick with pictures and we can have something up and running in a few minutes

will they be OK with dremeling and sanding and crap like that? i was wondering because of the noise, smell and debris that those two activities would cause. i know soldering is OK tho so i will probably make finishing as many cases as possible my priority! and ill bring along some partially done stuff so people with too much free time can have something to do

benheck wrote:Here's what we should come up with:

1) Schedule for both days of possible show & tells, Q&A's, specific modding demonstrations.

2) Using the list of confirmed forum members going, set up a basic "table manning" schedule, probably at least 2 people being there at all time. Table manners can be modding/etc so it's not like you're just sitting there.

As far as stuff we can do, here's some suggestions I have:

a) Buy stuff at the show, MOD IT at the show

b) Complete/work on your existing projects

c) Prolific modders bring a laptop, have it run a slideshow of their projects

It's 2 weeks away, so let's get crackin!
You don't read this thread much, do you? ;)

@Ben, I might be bringing my Supergun parts to finish it. So that's something I can sit in for and show off. And that can be either the finished product; show it working and the innards. Or finish it up... with a fellow members help I'm sure.

I'm bring my TV, and really it should be big enough for the area we're using. So unless we have a big crowd like last year during Ben's presentation, I don't think we'd need a projector.

Nice to know there will be a TV present. BTW, what encoder are you using for your supergun Sparkfist? And also, will the controls be integrated into the unit, or separate? Mine is a more "traditional" CMVS, in that it's still got the motherboard exposed and with standard Neo Geo controller ports.

EDIT: Sengoku 3 is coming with me, if it gets here from the Netherlands by then. Not a better game to demo a CMVS with, besides maybe Metal Slug.
Emulation isn't accurate. There is no substitute for real hardware!
