Another HipGear Thread

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

After you take the screen off the HipGear, do you need to tie the wires to ground?

Well here you go

Seems funny as the title of the topic is pinout and you were unable to find it. I wonder how many searches you did before you gave up.

That doesn't help.

I asked if you have to tie the wires in the controller to ground after you take the screen off. I didn't ask what the pinouts were.

Ok, the controller is a cheap POS third party. Unless you're making a PSp or you want to use the D-pad/buttons for another project its better to leave it alone or just use it as a simple controller. The wires that were going to the screen all you need ot do it cut then flat so no conductor is out, if your paranoid something bad might happen desoder the wires.

There is that what you wanted.

The reason I asked, is because many circuits with chips will die if any pins aren't tied to voltage or ground. Frankly, I don't care what happens to the controller afterwards, because my friend is buying it from me.
