The battery on the top is better than the one below; the one on top, as you say, will contain 6 cells; so if you went for that battery you need one. 6 cells is what I put into my project (although I used 3 x slim batteries which had 2 cells in each, making 6 individual cells).

You can easily use two sets of cells instead of three, like I did; that will give you 4amps instead of 6amps, so your system should last just over 2 hours on 4amps.

These were the batteries I used, and the supplier I used too - also 7.4v - cheap: LINK Just buy two of these if you want four cells, or three if you want six cells (each individual cell is about 3.7v each)

Not a problem, after all, you can make the rest of the system up without needing the batteries; eg the case front and the PSone screen section, the case back with the memory card and securing the CD backing plate and assembly - and can test the system with mains power until you get batteries. I suggest you get the ones I mentioned, tried and tested, and don't cost much.

Well i got to do some work today, didnt saturday, had sky installed, yey multiroom.

Em anyhow, today i only got like an hour and a bit, so i made a few coppies of the template i got from bacteria and stuck it over the case front and cut where the screen was to go, was solid, my dremel is really crap and my big drills battery has decided not to charge, but none the less i got it cut, now on tuesday ill get some sand paper.

Make it all smooth and then upload some pics for u guys, left my camera at home so no pics for tonight, but i thought id give u some updates.

Also i started on the holes for the speaker, but there wonkey , either way, guess i could fill them and then redrill them, think that sounds like a good idea.

Try the method I did for speaker holes - works great and they are symmetrical and level! Sure, you can fill the holes in and sand flat and try again, of course. You could use a speaker grill too if you prefer rather than holes - whatever you want!

Remember, especially with button and screen holes, to make them slightly smaller than you think you need, put the item (eg screen) in place, do a little sanding, and compare; etc- otherwise you could end up with your holes too big. Take your time, and gently does it!

thought id show u all my handywork, its a little messy, i havent filed and sanded the scree and analog compartments yet so bear with, i buggered the speaker holes up, but have a gander anyways

i used a power drill, rather heavy but im just a crap aim

anyhoooo i sanded down the controller parts again to make them slimmer, think this should do.





and i made the hole for the screen straighter and sanded it down so it should do, i know ill never get it 100% straight, so close will do for me.






and finally the wholes for the analog sticks, again not straight but ill will be sufficient, im not to good at this, but im guessing ill learn








oh oh i forgot, i cut the parts off for the thumbsticks,

well i made a little more progress.

I decided screw it and cut the holes for the buttons, the dpad and the x, circle and so forth buttons,

yes i know they aint straight, but the buttons fix it, thats all that im caring about. Shouldnt be that notice able when there inbut still looks not to bad.
