Dremel Questions

I just bought a dremel and have few questions to ask. What dremel attachment is best to cut plastic? Also can anybody recommend a good dremel head to cut speaker holes. Your answers are appreciated!

It's Mosh-co-wich, Thats my last name and the m before it means mini because everybody called me that when I started highschool cause my brother went there too!

Are you sure about the drill bit because it seems a little big for perf-board!

any reccomendations on plastic cutting bits, I used a cut off wheel and I smelt melting plastic . It looked horrible tahts why I am wondering. Thank god I was practicing!!

Flat and slim sanding circles; sanding drums too. You can also use a drill bit then sanding drum. Finish off with small circular files (for buttons) and a large file for the screen hole.

For speaker holes, a small drill bit, about 1-1.5mm thick. And a steady hand!

I need to cut large sections off the ZN-40 casing because I'm going to bondo in the screen case and I need to cut apart the controllers. Any other input??

One of those cutting head thingies with the drill bit.

If you smell burnt plastic when you're using a cut-off disc, you're pushing it too hard. Back off and make your cut in several passes, moving slowly. The cut-off wheel really is the best for something like a screen hole.

Should I use it at a lower RPM?

In my experience, RPM doesn't matter. You may have to make your cut in two or three passes, though. It's really the exact opposite of other power tools, though. Torque and pressure is bad. A light touch is most effective.
