A simple box to begin with.

Includes but not limited to: SNES, Genesis, Sega CD, PlayStation 1, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast, Game Gear and I guess the Virtual Boy.

A simple box to begin with.

Post by Metal Mario »

Alright, so I've been working on getting together the logistics of building a portable Nintendo 64 for quite some time now. I've more or less got everything set up, but I've just hit one major snag, that being the construction of a case for my portable.

I know that it would turn out a lot better in the end if I build my own case, but I know that can't happen. :(

Anyways, I'd just like some help picking out a good case to put my portable in. It can be anything from a tupperware container to a project box, I'd just like some ideas from the pros at this.
I'd also like to know the best method of using the PSOne screen. Do I use it like a clamshell? Or GBA style with the screen in the middle of the box?

OK, thanks for your help guys, and sorry for seeming a little newbish on the subject. I'm just dying to play N64 on the go.

Try the ZN45 case, it's a prefab polycase, and it's beautiful and awesome...
(also, a n64p does not require logistics)

That's okay.
Got the link:

Take your pick... i'd go with the AG series, but feel free to have your own free will
I know a lot of people have made ZN case portables, though, so i bet more people could help you out. The n64 will fit in a ZN45 case...

Whoops, hehe..
maybe if you chopped down the mobo to about the size of Sifuf's (fat chance) then you could fit the mobo in there.
Sorry, i wasn't really thinking about the n64 when i recommended the AG series.
They are nice cases though, i have a few (never bothered sticking an n64 mobo in there)

How's that going, by the way? You haven't posted any more pics about that thing.
