Me and my friend where trying to mod one of his Xbox's and everything was working fine until this morning we turned it on and the screen had a red tint. We plugged it into another tv to make sure it was not the tvs fault. We also plugged in another Xbox so we know nothing is wrong with the cable.
Here are some pics if that helps(sorry about the quality took the pics off of my phone):
Are you using an HD cable?
Some of them are defective, mine got jacked up so that it can't display red.
This means that only the red cable is working on your cable that includes Red, Green, and Blue.

You might have something wrong with your box, dude.
idk if you've ever really opened up electronics as sophisticated as the xbox, so i wouldn't recommend opening it. You probably wouldn't be able to figure out what was wrong, anyway.
I wouldn't worry to much about it, or i'd just get a new xbox...

The Xbox is already opened, I think that might have something to do it. Everything was working fine last night but when I turned it on this morning the screen was red.
sorry man, never heard of a problem similar to this...

Wait, if it was already open, did you attempt doing anything to it?
Like soldering to it or maybe while you were screwing around with it you knocked off a component or something.
This couldn't have happened overnight for no reason...

We were trying to replace the heat sinks with smaller ones, But before we went to bed we tested to see if it still worked and it was fine. I don't remember doing anything afterwords that would break the Xbox.
Did you actually accomplish ripping the heatsinks off? did you at least try?
you could have knocked something around in the process.

Oh, right, static can ruin anything as fragile as an xbox... and the xbox overheats without its huge fan churning over its massive heat sinks.
Good idea Skyone.
Problem: there is no way you can fix it now if that happened (at least, no probable way).
Just go with getting a new xbox.
