Wiring diagram for charging circuits?

Post by jjhammerstein »

I'm afraid to do this wrong, can someone guide me?

I have four 3.7v LiPo cells, and 2 charging circuits.

I need 7.4v out, how do I get this?

How many protection PCBs do you have?

I am assuming the Protection PCBs are 7.4V

Ok

Wire two pairs of 3.7v LiPo cells to get two 7.4 packs of LiPo Cells. Attach one Protection PCB to each 7.4 pack. Wire the packs in Parrelle.

The thing is, the circuits came with a little wiring diagram. I have redrawn the diagram below.

Because it says "battery1" and not "cell1," it leads me to believe that I could have one 7.4v battery for battery1, and the other for battery2. Is this correct, or do I need to implement the 2nd circuit too?

Protection circuits are built for certain voltages. Which ones do you have?

7.4v is what I ordered, and the top of the diagram that came with it says that they're built for 7.4v, so I think that's probably what they are. :o

I hope.

From that Diagram Battery 1 is a 3.7V and Battery 2 is a 3.7V. Not 7.4V

okay.

So, I should take apart my 7.4v pack and wire the cells straight to the PCB. got it.

Thanks a million! This has been a very serious road block in my progress, as I'm sure you understand.

If it's a 7.4v pack, wouldn't it already have a protection PCB in it? If not, then take it apart and wire it up directly.

No, it's an RC pack. It's supposed to be used with one of those wonky monitoring chargers; I'm retro-fitting it.
