RGB mod isn't working
I've got rgb mod on my n64 hooked up to the ps1 screen, although the guide I read for it doesn't say where the ground for it is, so when I turn the n64 on I get no picture. So where's the ground for the RGB mod?

Ground is ground is ground.
Any old ground should work.

Yeah so I can just solder it to the metal plates on the side of the n64 board. I'll test it out later.

Don't forget about Csync.
Also with RGB and a PSOne screen, you need +5 volts to pin 12 to get it working, like in the sticky.

Oh, I forgot about those, that's why it didn't work.
Another question though:
Does the brightness mod work with the RGB mod?
One of my games was really hard to see so now I almost have the brightness all the way down.

The brightness mod is only for composite. Do not do it, IMO, it kills contrast.

Excellent

I have to though, I can't see my game without it. The brightness setting is on very low though with the brightness mod, so it's only a little bit brighter than what it originally was.

I haven't led modded it yet, it's hard to see the game even with the normal bulb. I suppose adding more might work.

Re: RGB mod isn't working
Questions:
1) Did you turn the brightness up on the PSOne screen? You made it sound like you turned it all the way down, which would be bad.
2) Did this happen after doing the RGB mod? Did you install any circuitry or did you just do a straight connection to the screen from the chip?

Re: RGB mod isn't working
The ps1 brightness was all the way up and I still couldn't see my game then I did the brightness mod and now can see it perfectly. But I have to turn it almost all the way down to get it right. Even at the lowest setting it's still brighter than what it used to be.
I never did the rgb mod, I was planning to though. I did it with composite first and it was too low. Then I remembered hearing somewhere that the brightness mod doesn't work with rgb, and I didn't want to build the amplifier for it. I don't really get any interference lines anyway so I'm sticking with composite.
