My ps1 screen won't turn on??

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

My ps1 screen won't turn on??

Post by thewise1 »

I was wondering if I haven't attached the screen to anything, will it turn on? I plugged in my new ps1 screen and there's no light or volume control or anything. I have taken the screen apart but I haven't done any wiring to it except wire three wires to the back of the board for composite video and audio, and I know those aren't shorting out, and I haven't attached anything to the other end of the wire. I'm using the official power adapter as well.

So what do you think the problem might be?

I got it working, it hasn't been discussed much but you have to connect the 5 volt pin of the screen to the regulator to turn the screen on. I didn't really know this because nobody mentioned this.

Can a mod lock or delete this? I don't need it anymore
