PSP memory card games not working

ok so this is like a last resort to come to the experts but obviousley the games from my memory card isnt working i go into the memory card section of Game and it says i dont have any games saved and yeah i saved the game in H:\ISO is that the right place
My system software is 5.00 M33-4 is there any other info im missing and if someone goes press select i cant do that im missing something arnt i >..< oh and its a PSP 1000 model

I'm assuming that you're trying to run a PSP game, correct? You're going into Memory Stick and not Saved Data Utility?

Do you have a umd in the drive? There's a function that makes it so you can only play from the memory card when there's a umd in he drive.

You can disable this by going into the system menu. Just completely turn off the system (not sleep), and turn it back on while holding L *it might be R but I'm pretty sure it's L). This you should have a list of stuff in red text, just explore through there and you should find an options about the umd. I kinda forget where it is but I know it's there.

You probably have to change the UMD driver, which is in the recovery menu (what you get from holding R and turning on).

This was my first guess as well, changing to M33 driver -No UMD- in the recovery menu. But from reading his post I get the impression that nothing is even showing in the Game menu. You would think he would've mentioned an error code of the UMD driver was the case.

haha no sorry my bad when i press select those options to change the umd to read from memory card dosent work thats what i ment to say lol

and i got the VSH menu working thanks to you gys but what do i do now i tried loading up the game but it says i havent got any gamesin my memory card i tried on all of the UMD ISO modes but still nothings hapening i saved the game in a ISO folder in the beginning of the memory card

Ok, here is what my VHS menu looks like.

CPU CLOCK XMB 333/166
CPU CLOCK GAME 333/166
USB DEVICE Memory Stick
UMD ISO MODE M33 Driver

Those are good settings.

If you can't do this from the VSH menu, then power off the PSP completely. Then while restarting, hold the R button. You are now at the recovery menu. Go into configuration, and then make these same changes.

hmm thats what my settings are at my friend whos a psp wizz lke you guys are said that it might be the memory card do you think thats what stoping me from playing the games its a 4 gig magic gate one that came with the psp you think sony might have done something so i cant do that??

I haven't heard of any protections being placed on newer memory cards. Mine is an 8GB that was purchased around Christmas time and it works perfectly.

Here's what I would do... format your memory stick and then try it again. If that doesn't work, then talk to your friend and see if he'll let you try his memory card.

yeah i tired formating it earlier but it still didnt work ill try reformatting through the PSP and see if that has a difference

Formatting through the PSP is a good thing. It creates all the folders on the card that are necessary for correct operation. Occasionally these files/folders can get a bit messed up and cause some crazy symptoms like you experienced.

Sometimes it can get a bit worse than that and you'll have to format flash1 on the motherboard. Happened to me yesterday with a customer's PSP. The battery EEPROM couldn't be read/written so I couldn't change the battery to a Pandora or change my Pandora tool to a normal battery.

Sometimes it can get even worse than that and you'll have to reinstall your CFW.
