So, the long awaited Street Fighter IV came out today & my heart rejoiced! SFII ruled my mid-teens back in the 90's & this is a great return to those days. My one headache? The 360 controller. That analog stick was never meant for hadokens & tornado kicks & as we all know, the D-pad on the 360 controller is a joke . I am investing tomorrow in a SFIV gamepad BUT I was wondering if you had it in your hacking abilities to hack a SNES controller to connect to a 360 ? If I could see it done I'm sure I could do it, I've just never hacked a peripheral myself. Then the tourney could truly begin.

Probably a good solution. Or is this what you said you would buy? That DPAD far beats the SNES, in my opinion (Coming from an SNES dpad lover)

Wow, that gamepad looks sweet! I'd love "Virtua Fighter 5" with that thing.

Also, you might be interested in this article; someone rigged up a Sega Saturn controller for use on the Xbox 360. Personally, I think the Saturn's got a better D-pad than the SNES's, but that's just me.

Would that be easier than wiring an external SNES controller to the xbox controller? I would assume it would be a gutted SNES controller with tacts for buttons.

I agree, I got SF4 yesterday and almost ALMOST considered nabbing the PS3 version just for the d-pad. But I didn't.

The analog stick works OK on the 360, but yeah, a proper D-pad would be nice (lord knows the 360's isn't it)

Biggest thing I notice is trying to do quarter-circles on the analog you tend to go too far and end up jumping, lame.

Maybe I'll mod something, who knows? But I've got other fish to fry first (lots of F's in that sentence)

I am so angry at much later PC releases. Good news is that we will get awesome costume packs all at once that current players have to wait months for!

I know, I was thinking about picking one up last night when I got the game, & should've. Today, all over town, sold out. Le sigh. Unfortunately I am in college working part time so my money is tight (only reason I got the game was a massive trade in of XBOX stuff in Dec, glad I did, gamestop no longer takes XBOX stuff) so while I'd love to hit you up on that, no can do. Thanks though.

Oh man, what kind of price are we talking about for building an adaptor? If I could use PS2 or even PS1 pads with the 360 that would be spectacular. Even more spectacular if you could set it up to optionally take cube controllers. (PS2 for 2D fighters, cube controller for Soul Calibur 4) Let me know :O
