Resource for tech projects?

Well besides making a portable(Which I might soon enough, got an old ps1 and n64 laying around here) Id like to make actual things like using a circuit board and manually putting it together to make something like say a barrery powered usb charger. I finally got a somewhat decent soldering iron(used to have coldheat ) and I've done some simple things like replacing speakers and resoldering wires. Whats a good resource for guides ect on tech projects(Besides youtube)

Robotics sites are good because they have lots of links to other people's projects. Often these people build other stuff too.
