I took a long break from building my portable but now I'm going to start working on it again.
I haven't really done much at all yet, just got the noac and attached a battery, as well as removing the famicom cartridge slot so I can replace it with a 72 pin nes cartridge slot.
anyways, now I'm going to get some desoldering wick/braid and that stuff that helps the desolder braid work (rosin core something or other) and clean out the holes on the board where the cartridge used to be. Next I was thinking about using some of those solid wire things. their just one big wire (kind of like a small paper clip) not a whole bunh of small wires. those should work pretty nicely.
I'll keep this page updated with my progress from now on and thanks for any help I get in advance.

does anyone know if solid wire weakens the flow of electricity, and does anyone have the pinouts for the power supply of the powerjoy noac?

It should not change the flow of electricity, but it is much easier to snap off solid wires as they are less bendable and durable.

Solid wires are easier to solder but also easier to break. A lot of people use solid wire for slot relocations and stranded for everything else. Solid wire also won't fray and short, BTW. It's also easier to strip if your strippers are crappy like mine.

Ignore everything everyone just said about solid wire.
Solid Wire, Pros and Cons (for someone who uses both solid and stranded)
Pros:
- Enameled solid wire does not need to be stripped, the coating melts off.
- 33 AWG or so is the best wire I've found yet for soldering to very small surface mount components like ICs and such. And at such a small gauge, it's still very flexible, and isn't very prone to breaking.
- Solid wire is great for applications that don't involve a lot of movement.
- More compact than stranded wire.
Cons:
- Enameled coating may crack off with excessive bending, and you might not notice if it's clear.
- Solid wire can not undergo a whole lot of movement before breaking. The smaller the gauge, the more flexible it becomes, however.
Additional Notes:
- Solid is used for tasks that don't undergo a lot of movement, like connecting two components on a circuit board. Stranded is used for things that undergo a lot of movement.
- Stranded wire needs to be stripped, but is easier to tin.
That's all I can think of for now. In conclusion, use a healthy mix of both. You can't build a good house with just plywood or just 2x4's, you need a mix of both.

You forgot to mention that stranded wire can fray and short. It usually only happens on smaller connections.
