I couldnt possibly type all the steps taken to do it, for one I dont have time and theres not enough room here. I used Diamont basecoat and 3 coats of PPG clearcoat. a lot of people who dont paint tend to think that the more coats of clear you put on the shinier it will be. This is not true at all. It would look the same with 2 coats or even 1 if your really good. 2 or 3 coats is the norm for automobiles. The reason I put 3 coats on is for durability. There is also a limit to how many coats you can put on. 4 or 5 is the max you would want and you would only put on 4 or 5 if you were trying to cover up some kind of imperfection or something. Too many coats and the clear becomes too thick, loses durability, and could become prone too cracking.

Re:
I have been watching your auctions since I saw the youtube video for your first custom NES. They look great. But I probably won't be buying one for that price. For that much, I'm fine with just admiring.Custom NES Dude wrote:1 hr left. Last bump - http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... :IT&ih=006

Re: Custom Zelda NES
I'd say that's a pretty fair price for how much work it must take to make them all look that good.

Re: Custom Zelda NES
I'm not saying that it's a bad price; it isn't, considering that I sell a regular NES for that much with a warranty. I was when I was selling before Christmas, at least. I don't really have the need for a painted one.Twilight Wolf wrote:I'd say that's a pretty fair price for how much work it must take to make them all look that good.

Re: Custom Zelda NES
I would almost buy that sexy thing just for the fact that it has A/V output.

Actually, the NES only has RF output. You need mods for composite, at least as far as I remember.

Excellent
