Is there a playstation 1 modchip?

Includes but not limited to: SNES, Genesis, Sega CD, PlayStation 1, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast, Game Gear and I guess the Virtual Boy.

Just a question: are there versions that don't actually have to be wired in? With my Saturn 'chip, you essentially just plugged it in and you were good to go.

I hope I didn't overpay for it; it cost me $30 after shipping. $15 is cheap in comparison.

Yeah, I know, its not like Sony'll lose profit but Ben still doesn't like modchips.

I just ordered one at eurasia.nu for $11 shipped. Thanks for the names of the chips jleemero. The only ones I have seen before were the expensive ones I have heard nothing about.

I have one that plugs into the back of my fat PSX called the "Game Hunter CD EDITION!".

I got it for free from WeaponEpsilon, just payed for shipping. :D Thanks!

I wish modchips were still this easy, just plug and play... Actually, strike that, it would kill the game industry. :(

Thanks a lot, pirates, now no current consoles have REAL expansion ports with decent bandwidth for cool mods!
