The atom would be able to run all of that. You might want to get this (composite and s-video output) or this (s-video)

A better P3 with a somewhat recent video card should be able to handle N64.endrien wrote:the atom is good for its price, But again Im looking for really cheap and I don't want to spend that much. Id just like to know what the system requirements would be.

For the CPU, I would say 800+MHz would be good.
From emulator-zone
From emulator-zone
Those vid cards (or newer) or integrated graphics in most P4 or newer systems will work.The system requirements of Project64 are high. Don't expect games to run well or at all if your PC doesn't meet these requirements:
* Pentium III 600 Mhz or better
* 128 Mb. RAM or more
* Fast video card with 16 Mb. Video RAM or more
* Windows 95/98/Me
* DirectX 6.0 (latest version of DirectX recommended)
Project64 works best with these video cards:
* TNT, TNT 2, GeForce, GeForce 2, ATI Radeon
Project64 does not work well with these video cards:
* Matrox G200 and G400 (blending errors)
* ATI Rage Pro (misses some 3D functionality)
* 3DFX Voodoo Banshee (has bad DirectX drivers)
* 3DFX Voodoo 1 or 2 (secondary 3D cards are not supported)

Re: Could I and how would I make something like this?
Im guessing since a computer can run project64 it can run a NES emulator good aswell? Cause I didnt mention anything about n64
.
Anyway thanks. Btw does anyone else think this idea is logical/ a good idea? I mean NES games/systems are old, they die, there getting harder to get ect.

Most NES emulators will run on just about anything. I'd still stick to that for hardware, except pretty much any video card (maybe not some low end really old ones) will work.endrien wrote:Im guessing since a computer can run project64 it can run a NES emulator good aswell? Yeah, though I do need something that has Svideo(or any other way to easily convert to TV) but those are cheap cards on ebay
. A computer with those specs or greater should run NES+Snes fine right?

Looks like i'm going to need a hard drive over 10gb or so, seeing as I have over 6000 Snes and every US and some Japanese NES games.

But most NES games are only a few hundred kilobytes at the most. Actually, I think that is the most that any of them will be.endrien wrote:Looks like i'm going to need a hard drive over 10gb or so, seeing as I have over 6000 Snes and every US and some Japanese NES games.

Yes but I have 6000+ .rar'd SNES games, which are around 2gigs, when extracted they will be a lot bigger, The nes games are only 120mb or so for all of them unzipped.
Edit, Snes games total to 9.29gbs

You can get hard drives pretty cheap. look on ebay. If you want another 10 GB drive, I might have one to sell you. I even have a 4GB drive.endrien wrote:Yes but I have 6000+ .rar'd SNES games, which are around 2gigs, when extracted they will be a lot bigger, The nes games are only 120mb or so for all of them unzipped.

I just found Mamewah, which seems like it would be perfect for me! Also where can I get a good/cheap controller that would work well on older systems/older games.
