Equation math program?

Hey guys. I hate equations in math. I really do. Im good at them, but they are time consuming. Amongst my anger today in class, I thought of something.

Is there some type of program where I could enter the math question and it will show me an awnser? (Like, with all the steps included. Calculators dont do this.)

I mean like, say we have...

5x + 7 = 7x + 2

Is there a program where I could enter those numbers, and have the program do all the math and provide all the steps, so I could just copy down the awnsers and steps onto my sheet of paper?

Yeah its called "help me fail every from math test from now on 2007".

Matlab. It wont show you the steps.

If it doesnt show me the steps, wouldnt it just be like a calculator then? My like $3 calculator can do that.

I really don't think that will take more than 10 seconds to do that specific equation. (if you're solving for x) If you pay attention in class then it will be easy. Plus I think it would take longer to enter it into a computer than actually doing it yourself.

5x + 7 = 7x + 2
-2 -2

5x + 5 = 7x
-5x -5x

5 = 2x 5/2 = 2x/2

2.5 = x

I wrote plenty of programs for algebra2 a few years ago that did just that.

Microsoft Math should show you such steps; but it might actually laugh instead if you give it equations like those.
