Ikaruga vs R.S.

I recently acquired Ikaruga for GC and It's great! Having never played Radiant Silvergun, I have to wonder can R.S. really be that much better than Ikaruga?

What do you all think?

Has anyone turned their tv on it's side to play Ikaruga? I know the instruction book threatens a fire by doing this, but I don't believe it.

Played RS but not ikaruga. That game was mind blowing, especially the final boss. The whole capture the little orbs to make the ship unleash a screen clearing attack was amazing...

I've never played Ikaruga, but my friend shelled out $200 at Super Potato for RSG.
It's amazing.
It's the best un-emulated danmaku, you HAVE to play it.

As a Saturn owner, I feel obligated to play "Radiant Silvergun." But am I gonna shell out $200-400 for a copy? No way! I could "acquire" a copy somehow, though.

Either way, I've tried it on an emulator, and it's fun. Tough, but fun.

Radiant Silvergun is sweet, but good luck finding it. Ikaruga is graphically just as cool looking, and gameplay is fast, tight, well balanced, etc. but they are fairly different games. The one thing that both of them have, and which makes them both so cool, is a very different method of playing from other kinds of shooters.
