Portable running off of emulators?

Re: Portable running off of emulators?
There's also the option of grabbing a cheap Netbook and a gamepad. You flip the screen around and add the gamepad internally if you wanted something you could use while walking/standing. It'd most likely come out cheaper than any x86 based platform you could build from off the shelf parts.

You do know I have a hacked one up for sale, right? The one with the controller flanks?bicostp wrote:I want the x50v. It's got a better screen (640x480 as opposed to 320x240), better processor (600-something mhz), hardware 3D acceleration (probably a port of Quake III, too), and VGA output.

Re: Portable running off of emulators?
net books true, also scraped lappys. I found most of the good ones Ive kept using over the years. This one I'm on my sister infact was scared to pay for fixing it so she got a new one, still paying this one off mind you and gives me this one. Which had nothing wrong with it. some people are so stupid, they just want to be born sheep, its easier I think than trying some thing new.
Yeah a second hand computer store. or a garage sale score of even an old NEc versa some thing or what ever would do. Any thing pent1 with a few megs of ram is all you need to emulate up passed Snes. And would be alright under lunix.
plus a big screen. though Net books are cheaper and cheaper these days.
