Just a thought, but it would be a very useful thread, with like a sticky of how much milliamps each old system takes, and modded and unmodded screen. And people could post batteries that they've found to work well. Or post battery guides.
There's already a screen and case thread, so why not batteries
I think we should have all 4 major parts.
Case,motherboard, screen, BATTERIES!
It probably won't be up just by me saying we need a battery thread, but still, I think it would be pretty good.
(and some kind of battery modding safety sticky so nobody blows themself up. I know somebody would have to find the time to make them first but still)

This has come up before, and we've always come to the same conclusion:
Since power requirements are so different between consoles (and because there isn't as much to batteries as there is to screens and cases), battery discussion should be left to the forum for the console you're working on.
Questions for things like lithium battery protection circuits should go in Tech Q&A.

Maybe a Battery sticky in each console thread? Or a running list of each battery/charger people have used for the givin console, in each console thread.

I like that, like there are few different ways to power most boards. lol, however these threads should not be theory. I remember the old Portables of doom site had some interesting ways to power the n64 that just aren't possible.
say each console section a battery thread unless it's some thing thats hacked with a 9volt or some AAs.
only working PSUs and even if its not clear sooner or latter the posts will edit that up to some thing good and legible
edit: the hell am I a thead killer? if so I'm going to have to make some decent PSU threads.
