HELP!!!!!

Post by thewise1 »

I know this is my second post in like the last hour but this just happened.

I mostly finished modding the mobo of the n64 yesterday. All the heatsinks attached and everything, the cartridge slot it rewired too.

I plugged in yesterday and it worked fine. But now I turned it on and I heard the sound on the tv come on for a brief second and then pop, the board won't turn on, the led is off, and power is fine.

Here's what happened I took out the jumper pak to dremel it down and make it smaller, I put it back in an then it happened.
I went over everything, then I looked at the jumper pak and it turns out I put it in backwards, I put it back in the right way and it still won't turn on

Is there any way I can fix my board??

(moral of the story is don't put your jumperpak in backwards)

It's a clear blue n64 too so it's more prone to frying.
Anybody know if I can fix it?

*Sigh* The N64 is really annoying at times; post some pics of the mobo and jumper pack
visuals are always better
If it popped as you said, honestly i doubt it will be okay, but i am still uncertain if you can fix it.
Otherwise, congratulations, you just fried your first N64 mobo (hopefully you do not in the future).
Ya, check the sticky, it'll help.

Wait a few days. Then try again. Apparently it pops a breaker and 'puts your N64 to sleep'.

Old post but yeah, I just got a new one, and it's better because it has RGB. LOL it also looks like a mod shrunk down my original title. Which I should have done my self, sorry :(
