No, it happened after i messed with the controller ports.
I pulled those three metal bars sticking out of the back of the 1st player port and soldered them back in so the conection was smaller and after I turned the power on, the power light flashed and then it stoped all together

i don't know how to fix it but i heard anti static braclets u can get at radioshack help prevent frying

You didn't bridge a connection or burn a chip? I have done that to chips on other circuits before. I was holding my solderring iron and not paying, and I burn't a hole through an IC.

Does the solder go across 2 pins or 2 traces? If it does, then you have bridged.
