Just gonna cut to the chase.

Post by Voltage++ »

Okay, Call me ++, or Volt. I have an okay amount of knowledge and whats what, and I am doing a cheap and easy portable for my pleasure, and an important trip I am going on. Really all I need to know is what I should do for a battery for a

Playstation 2.

This is all that is currently holding me back.

That has been what I have been looking at for awhile now, and it has more uses then just a PS2 battery (The batter will be external, and mounted). I would prefer if the battery could be bought locally at like a bestbuy/walmart/radioshack etc.

So, could I get an answer on if I should use this? Or do you know of a better one?

Hello Volt!

That's called a power inverter.

I have a device like that, except it's smaller and can power 65W (my PS2 with screen or Laptop or misc. chargers) and retails for $16 on Canadian Tire. It has the brand name "Motomaster Eliminator."

Ahh, I kinda was wondering what it was, seeing as it was under batteries for Portable DVD players xD. Thanks for the input Aguiluz, as well as the name of your own, for 16 dollars I think I will get one of those, maybe two. Thanks to you I can now somewhat move on. I will be searching all local stores for a brand like that, and will head out to get one in the next week, when I get paid.

BUT If anyone has any other better batteries or Inverters like this, please let me know. I would like this PS2P to power for a few hours (2.3+)

btw neither of those things are batteries, just so you know...
they'd charge one, but it really wouldn't help you make a ps2p unless you happen to be in a car when your battery dies.
Just saying, since you mentioned something about how much gameplay you want.

Would you like a professional looking custom case for your portable? I may be able to help you. Check out this link:

the description of the power inverter states it has a built-in li-po battery
