Forum Chat Room (v4?)

I got an idea before. Since we are on phpbb3, aren't there first party types of forum chatrooms that run server side, so we [the user] don't need special scripts like our previous chats? I think that was the biggest downfall of the other ones, and it could be quick useful.

Yes I agree a bit, but it must be members only who have a certain number of posts and a certain number of days old. AKA no spam bots or anything. Only problem is "But sony I know im not a bot why cant I go on then?" Ill reply if your a real member youll meet the two easy requirements(Like 25 posts and 1 week old). Just a suggestion.
It works for another forum I used to frequent.

I can see this failing just like every other chat room. But it'd be nice if you need a quick answer. Give it a shot, hope for the best, and hope it isn't epic fail.

If there is a whisper function, it could somewhat replace it. But not everyone would be using it all the time.

We could go for it I guess...Although I do see this failing in the near future. Sony's suggestion would be a good idea so we don't get overloaded with spam.
