The cases he's selling can be used for the N64.

Yeah, I'm fairly sure it is. I'll see if I can dig up any additional info for you.

Yup, should be fine, made it big enough to take a SNES or N64 cart internally inside case. My next project will be N64, so you can see the results from that.

I have to get my project room re-made, then I want to play some Red Alert 3 on my PC; so will be a few weeks before I start it!

Excellent! I wouldn't suggest leaving it too far "in the future" because when my molds break beyond repair, there will be no more for sale! I have had to make minor repairs twice so far on the case backing mold. I should hopefully get another 20+ out of them though.

I can make beautiful portables in my sleep like that as well as many others can. But when we wake up they disappear. And do a Dreamcast. With it you can test its emulator for the nes, and if you like it make a nice one portable.

In Joystik - LINK

Viewings gone up on my YouTube video from about 290 to over 3800 in the space of a few hours!

For some reason, it hasn't appeared on Engadget or Hack-a-day yet, hopefully they will; nor Gizmodo or Kotaku. Hoping they will feature it - sure I know the comments you get tend to be a bit trivial, however it generates a lot of press, which is "the main buzz" for me.

Just had a play with the system for about half an hour, it is lovely. Need to open it up again though; the only button which doesn't work at the moment is an important one - up on the d-pad! Just a wire loose on the d-pad board no doubt! Easy to fix. Noticed this before, just need to fix it.

Using the shoulder buttons is fine when using the joystick too, was playing the Bugs Bunny game for a short while, you need to use the left joystick (or d-pad) and R1 shoulder button to pick up and place objects. The majority of PS1 games you can play with the d-pad anyway. The vibration motors work fine too; felt them work when Bugs was pushing one of the crates in the game. Cool!

Up to over 5000 YouTube viewings now. Still not sure why the other sites haven't bitten yet, oh well.

On an Italian site: Games Blog it! also a forum somewhere, no idea what language this is though, so no idea what they are saying: link

Hey Bacteria, How much would it be for one of those kits shipped to the U.S.?
I haven't been here in awhile, and looking back it's one of the worst ideas I ever had. I'm back and I'll be here for awhile, I was quite active 1 year ago and I hope to become that again.

mmoshkowich - Thanks, I submitted it to them twice and didn't get a result - perhaps you can work your magic also on Hack-a-day, Gozmodo and Kotaku too ? :D

I think sites misinterpreted my work as trying to sell products as the reason for the publicity; the reality is that I seriously doubt over the next months I will even recover the money I shelled out for everything, let alone make profit; I really don't care about making profit on this as I get "big-time buzz" from lots of people looking and liking my work, a bit of fame, and hopefully starting to portablize thanks to seeing my work - that is what is important to me - selling cases is just a way to encourage others to this hobby, frankly - it is an extension to my hobby, not a business. If I wanted to make more money I would do a couple of extra shifts at work, far more profitable for me after all!

Next time, when I do the N64 project, I won't mention about my case kits at all (then no misinterpretation), but will put a note in my guides about it - then sites will link my work more as they won't make assumptions. Live and learn! :D I will also retract my e-bay listing in the next days as people didn't read the listing properly - it's more hassle than it's worth - if they want any kits, they can e-mail me directly if they want to; including the current watchers on the listing item.

Talking of the N64 project - my intention is to hopefully have it completed by the end of March, or by mid April; I won't post details on it until it is done; frankly, most of the details are on my current site anyway to what is involved in the build and I can document it afterwards.
