Hey everyone,
Over the past few weeks I've been browsing the forums and got inspired to make my own N64p. This is my first project, yes i know you all don't recomend it as someone's first portable project but I'm pretty confident i can do this project quite well.
So far I have laid out my case plan (I intend to use the ZN45 case) and I am in the process of ordering the parts. I hope to get my hands on a PS2 screen for this project but I am finding it difficult to find a fairly cheap one, any ideas?
For the battery I am going to use a 7.4V with 6400mah. Here is the battery.
Any suggestions or thoughts would be appreciated.

Hey Leprachaundude, Welcome to the forum! I'm currenting planning my N64p also. I believe you mean the 5' PS1 screen, right? You can check ebay, or make a WTB (Want to Buy) thread in The Trading Post forum. Good luck with your portable, and of course everybody here can help you (I know I'll be asking a million questions once my project starts up.)

Hey
Good luck with your project I hope it turns out well. Actually I would like to attain either the Ps1 screen or the Ps2 screen, but since all the pinouts in the stickies are for the Ps1 screen I'll probably end up getting that one.

Unless you're talking about the intec screen, then they are the exact same, pinouts and allleprachaundude wrote:Hey

if you are getting an intec screen, let me warn you they are cheaply made, power hogs, and have a very low resolution.

Question on screens...
You mentioned that the PS1 and PS2 screens have the same guts, but would a zenith xbox screen be the same? Would i have to wire it differently?

ya ever since the ps1 screen was made people have recased it and passed it off as a new clip on screen for various systems a number of times; these companies are incredibly cheap (but not as cheap as intec
)
