So.... What do you think of the new-style BenHeck forums?

Here's what I think:

1. It's going to take some time to get used to this, but looking good!
2. Uploading files at the bottom? Nice.
3. Old smileys gone? *sad face*
4. Avatars can be resized at the control panel. Nice.
5. Boardstyles can be changed. I'm testing the Milky Way style right now. Would be nice if the stock phpBB3 skin is included.
6. Friends and Foes list are in. If you add a username to "Foes" the user will be ignored. (You can't see their posts.)

I currently set my Avatar Size to default. Less pixelation on my dwaggy. ^_^

not really, i just don‘t like change.

I didn‘t know ahead of time, so i opened it and was like "waaaaaaaaaaa?"

reminds me of the origimal style (benheck.phpbb.com, or whatever it was.)

PhpBB 3 is a LOT better behind the scenes, and SubSilver2 + some of the old custom tweaks = you won't motice much of a difference.

I'll take a look and see if there's any way to add custom emoticons through the admin control panel. If so, the old ones will make a comeback, in addition to the new ones. (Plus I can think of a few fun ones to add like

,

, and

.

EDIT: The maximum avatar size in the ACP is set to 250x300, so any downsizing below that point might be a setting in your user control panel.

EDIT: You want awkward? Check out the "Milky Way" theme in the user control panel. It's all shiny.

EDIT 2: There is an option to change the emoticons in the admin panel, but there's no place to upload more from within PhpBB.

It's a mixed bag. When I go to "view new posts" each thread takes up more space than it did before, which translates into more scrolling. Everything else seems to take up more screen real estate as well. Other than that though, things look good.

Hey, yeah, if you could replace the new smileys with the old ones again, that would be better, considering I type all my smileys and I don't like the replacements.

I like how it shows who is a bot and who isn't. I think right now there are three bots online.

How'd you get that? I only see the Milky Way and SubSilver2

Don't get too attached to the other themes, subsilver2 will be the only one available when I'm done modding it. I only have time to mod out one theme with ads, and ads are important for the site.

I am glad it conversion process went well (this time). Last time we tried it was a cluster-you-know-what.
