Cool mouse discovery. Feels really weird.

Do you have a technical question that doesn't really fit a specific console? Want some general info on electronics, hacking, making cookies, etc? Here's the place to ask! Go nuts.

Cool mouse discovery. Feels really weird.

Okay, so while trying to find a power switch location in my mouse (I decided there isn't a good spot, so am currently endurance testing to see how long it'll last idling), the scroll wheel fell out. With it came a little metal spring of sorts, and as I couldn't find where it went, and didn't care at the time, I saved it, and closed the mouse up. It turns out this spring makes the "clicks" when you turn the middle mouse wheel, and removing it makes for smooth movement. Smooth movement, not flywheel movement. ( )

Anyways, it's quite cool, and feel like getting braces off at first. Like, actually. It's such a weird feeling.

But it's easy to do and fun to try. Did I mention completely reversable? (If anyone finds where it goes, please post :P )
Hey, sup?

Ya. I've done this to the mouse I'm using now. Did it about a year and a half ago. It's not COMPLETELY loosened, but enough that you can barely feel the clicks. (I forgot how I adjusted it)
