Don't be sorry, it is not you being dense, it is me being inconsistent.

At first it seemed that excluding portables would work, but the main goal is to have fun/motivate people to finish stuff, so real portables (SNESp, N64p, etc.) seem fine. Perhaps two separate prizes, one for modding handhelds, and one for portables? Have people vote for their favorite handheld mod AND their favorite portable. This would stop things like, say, an N64p versus a backlit calculator or something. Which would win? The exact nature of the voting could always be rethought out.

@Kyo: I see your point. Do you have a semester break of any kind?

Would a built-in wallwart count, or having space inside the case for batteries? I have a project I may do, but not enough cash to spare for batteries within the time frame.

As in an internal battery holder?

And sure, just make sure to tell that you lack them. If you want to stretch it, fine; people will vote according to what they think is fair. ;)

I think you need to define the exact parameters for entries, as it seems to go back and forth. You said before, no portables.

Im entering my GCp. Why? Since I did not have the screen intergrated into the case untill after the starting date, I'm sure that splitting a controller and changing a case would only put me at 20 percent. :D

I'm gonna win now, if there is any good objection, I have another project I just started that will pwn all of you.

SS

EDIT: actually, I've got about 6 different projects I could enter, which means(jokingly) I've got six tries to make something pretty.

So is this going to be Console Portablizing or Handheld Gaming Devices Modding? Either way I will have a project.

I did, but I think that at this point, it seems that two separate categories will do the trick.

Prize for handheld hacking category: DSTT DS flashcart

Prize for Portable contest: Thanks to the generosity of "jleemero", we also have a portable prize, another DSTT! Thanks, jleemero! :D

I'm entering my n64p hopefully, the only problem is, I would have to put it at 20.557697% which unfortunately rounds up... would it still be elidgeble?(don't worry peple, it won't wi)

I'm just starting to work on it hardcore this weekend, just got a dremel.

I am entering myself, I have a lot of ideas...

Time/cash willing, I may be making an iQue portable.

And this is after all the times I have told new people that it would be stupid and impractical.

I have my N64p that I'm making. It'll definitely be done by the time this contest ends, and it is going to blow yours out of the water! :)

And you know that the more entries you have, the less each vote is worth?

meh, needs a lot of bondoing/painting, but is about 10x better than my other case. screen is extremely off center and will have to be moved over.

P.S. I think the camera added about 10lbs. It looks slightly better in person. I also wanted to bump this up a little.

But then the beautiful case has nothing to do with it?
