I don't know why, but I just can't seem to find one of these things!
I need a 4-wire resistive touchscreen, plain old kind you find in a Nintendo DS or in most touchscreen phones.
AND, it needs to be anywhere from 5.5 to 6 inches diagonal!
(140 to 153 mm)
Does anyone either have one (?!) or know where I could get one?
Edit:
Yaaaay.
A buddy of mine emailed me, found one on Mouser for $18, exactly what I need, and a price I'll gladly pay!
Woo!

I am gonna guess.
I bet you are gonna overlay this over an LCD, and either attempt to use it as a DS screen, or make it into a controller where you press where you want to aim in FPS games.
AMIRITE?
Oh, and here is a good candidate: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.16124
Can you possibly get away with 3"? DS ones are only like $4, and the DSi should have replacements soon, it is 3.5".
EDIT: Darn, that is what you get when you leave a post for 7 minutes to find a link after getting distracted by cheap dealextreme stuff.
Also, you just changed you avatar. Funny, sorta, but I have a better pikachu pic, I will PM you when I find it.
EDIT AGAIN: New avatar? Man, you go through these fast!
EDIT AGAIN AGAIN: AH, rotating avatar.

Excellent
Yeah, seen it.vskid wrote:Then here ya go.jleemero wrote:A 7" would work.
I wouldn't like it, but it'd work
Thing is, that comes with all the USB electronic non-sense that I don't need, hence the high-cost.
A 7" touchscreen alone should be less than $10.
I don't wanna pay for a USB setup I'm not going to use.
Find someone that ended up frying the electronics for theirs, and sell them your electronics (or someone that's bought 2 kits because they killed the electronics of one)? Save them for another project?
I can't see why you don't need the USB parts, you must be using it to replace an analog stick, but the screen size seems weird....

... Really?palmertech wrote:It will.jleemero wrote:LOL not for an analog stick.
In fact, I don't think that'd even work.
Heh.
Also, I found a place that makes 5.7" ones...
And they're $54 a piece...
