Trimming Expansion Pack and - Can i do this?

Includes but not limited to: SNES, Genesis, Sega CD, PlayStation 1, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast, Game Gear and I guess the Virtual Boy.

Trimming Expansion Pack and - Can i do this?

ok, now im trimming

i found come pics that showed the expansion pack cut, but none actually said how much or where or if there might be hidden traces

and can I connect battery and video/audio through wires attached here

also, bacteria says to put a heat sick on the chip, but i have seen it been done without one

do i really need one?

ummmm, what are you saying yes to..
and does anyone know what i can cut, bacteria said the grounding sides, but im pretty sure you can also cut the top a bit

i said yes to the heat sink. As for cutting stuff, this chip has no hidden traces. I'd say you're right in being able to cut the top.

Standard 2 layer board, so you can see the contacts on each side of the board and only cut off what is safe; ie the top and the sides.

If you are using the metal plate to cool the N64 mobo instead of heatsinks, then you need to include the metal plate to the expansion pack too so it can dissipate the heat; if you aren't then you need a heatsink.
