Psp Problem.... Won't Turn On....

Ok I just bought a pre-owned psp, at a elctronic store, and it won't turn on, the lights won't even work, I can't charge it either.
I know other people have had this problem, but I need help how to fix it.

Um, never had a psp, but have had this problem before.

Tried taking out the battery? that sort of levels the playing ground.

It possible for you to later crack it open to check the contacts?

I tried taking out the battery for about a minute, and it still didn't work...

The PSP refuses to charge when the AC adapter is plugged into it? Sound like the power plug could be faulty. This is an easy fix, and a new plug can be gotten from www.dealextreme.com

The PSP should be able to be powered up with no battery if you have the AC adapter plugged in.

Also, look for signs of scraping/attempted disassembly on the outside of the battery. Someone could've tried to hardmod the battery into a Pandora and failed.

I really think the problem lies with the plug where the AC adapter goes. If you do think it is this, it is a very easy and well documented fix.

you guys are way too optomistic, that PSP was probably copulate against a wall by some 8 year old. I would bet money that thing was toast inside and out. Buying a new one was the way to go.
