Ick, sounds like a terrible way to play games, especially if it's something like "Street Fighter 2," where you need to be quick on the controls.

Also, neither of my three-button Genesis controllers have any logic in them, but my six-button, of course, does. I know you can use a three-button controller on a Master System; don't know about a six-button. If you wanted to use a three-button controller as a basis for a Master System controller, you could probably make something pretty cool. Of course, making it totally from scratch would make the project all that much more special.

Good luck!

Eh, I'll take your word for it. For games like that, I'll just stick to my six-button.

Hmm, is it by any chance possible to include a "pause" button if you're making your own Master System controller? I hated having to get up and push a button on the console to pause the game. Really, Sega, what were you smoking when you thought of that? If I recall correctly, I came across a tutorial for putting a pause button in a Master System controller, though I don't remember if you only needed to modify the controller or you needed to mod the console, as well. If you can include a pause button on the controller itself, that would make the controller all that much more awesome.
