Chopping the N64 Board
Hi guys! I'm a nooby at portabilizing, but have been reading about portablizing on benheck for about 2 months now. I really like Sifuf's n64p as much as everyone else, and I do know that he's a very experienced portabalizer, but I was wondering exactly how much of the 64 motherboard can be cut off? I know Kyo was looking into it, and that some others have chopped off some of the board, and I would love to hear from you guys and I really want to see some pictures and descriptions. Thanks guys!

Just look at the board and cut around all the traces unless you want to rewire them. He has his cart slot (as well as other stuff) wired where the traces used to go. You can cut off anything that has no significance (bare board) or anything that you want to rewire. SifuF shows a good example.

Which is why you guys DON'T need to reference sifuf. Anyone who claims noob shouldn't attempt sifuf level chopping.Shmoofer wrote:I'm a nooby at portabilizing
The grounding traces on the sides and the corners can be rounded.
