Welcome to Benheck Sean! I'm DJ, yeah these people are more friendly to noobs than most, that is of course if they aren't only intrested in the 360 laptop. But I hope you complete your Sega laptop soon. I kind of a noob here, only been here since October so I can't really say much....but anyway, welcome.
I haven't been here in awhile, and looking back it's one of the worst ideas I ever had. I'm back and I'll be here for awhile, I was quite active 1 year ago and I hope to become that again.

Cool, lets just make this the "Why we are awesome" thread.

I am PalmerTech, and I like to think of myself as the resident LCD lighting expert, and I have a bunch of general knowledge too. I am an ego the size of my junk bin, and a sense of humor as rough as ShockSlayers portables. I am just a poser in the portable department, I pretend to know a lot about them, but thanks to my procrastination skillz, I have never actually finished one.
If you need help with any gameboy/DS modding, ask me, Bibin, Nitro2K1, gamefreakfatty, themadhacker, and some other people I probably missed. In that order. :P

Welcome to the forums!

But welcome to BenHeck.
Hey, thanks!

I thought about making my location something to reflect my gaming tastes (I seriously considered "2Fort" and "City 17"), but I decided it'd be better just to put my actual location. Little easier that way. Also, my mom would be pleased to know you've got Johnny Cash in your head.

Hi, DJ! Yeah, that Saturn laptop would be my dream, especially since nobody to my knowledge has made a complete one. If I recall correctly, SegaSonicFan was working on one, but I think he had to stop work on it, and several other people have said they're starting on one, but I haven't seen much progress on any of them. However, I can't bring myself to tear apart my dear Saturn yet, but for that matter, I think I should probably tackle some easier-to-portabilize consoles first, like an NOAC or maybe an Atari 2600, so I can gain some experience before going all-in. Actually, I have three extra Ataris laying around... Hmm...

Hey, there, ShockSlayer! Yeah, I've heard of you, and I've seen the portables you've made. You seem to have made more N64p's than anyone else here, and I've been keeping an eye on your GCp. Good stuff! And yes, I'm a big fan of the "Zelda" series; "Twilight Princess" is my favorite, but I like "Majora's Mask" a lot, too. I'm also wearing a "Zelda" t-shirt at the moment.

Hi! So your specialty is Gameboy projects so far? I've always thought it'd be fun to overclock a GameBoy, so if I do decide to do an overclock, I'll be sure to come to you for advice.

Hi, Triton! Frankencasing looks to be a great way for giving your portables a protective shell, and it'd probably come in mighty handy should I decide to undertake making a portable, so I'll be sure to ask you if I have any questions. Also, I assume you're a "Portal" fan? I am, too!

Hi, PalmerTech! The resident LCD lighting expert, eh? Well, then, I'm sure you'll be on my list of people to contact if I've got questions about that kind of thing. Same goes for GameBoy/DS modding.

Hi, eurddrue!

It's great to meet each and every one of you, and I look forward to seeing you guys on the forums! If you'd like to talk to me, feel free to IM me or PM me any time, and if any of you have a PS3, I've posted my PSN ID in the "Xbox 360/PS3/Wii" board.

I loved both versions, but I liked the GameCube version a little more. Not sure why, really, but I did end up playing completely through the GameCube version twice.

I'd like to thank everyone for the warm welcome, by the way! I think I made the right choice by finally registering.
