RETRO DUO Color Malfunction?!

OK, I know I just posted about the controller thing a few days ago (the SNES one broke by the way, so I couldn't use the parts to fix the Retro one).

Now, there appears to be another problem, and I don't know if it's the deck or the TV.

My mother was recently given a very old TV set (made in 1985 I think), so I connected the Retro Duo system to it, using standard AV cables that came with the deck. All works fine, but the images from SNES games sometimes turns grayscale after the first few minutes. The solution we've found so far is to simply turn the system completely off, and then right back on, at which point the color comes back.

This doesn't happen with the NES carts, so I'm thinking it could either be the deck, the TV, or the AV cables. Any ideas?

I'm thinking maybe a loose chroma line? I honestly don't know, but thats what my gut said when I first read this. Don't take my word though. My gut isn't exactly knowledgeable when it comes to this sort of thing.

The thing is, I bought the Retro brand-new from a local retailer, so I don't understand why any part of it would be malfunctioning. So far, the only problems with it have been the occasional "grayscale glitch" and the Down arrow not responding properly on either controller. This system is the highest-rated Nintendo clone I'd seen anywhere online, which is why I picked it in the first place.

It is still made in China junk

Take it back and get a new one.

Try it on another TV. If it still turns gray, then you know it's the retro duo's fault.
