PSOne Screen operation.

Hi people, I'm kinda new to all this so bear with me. Is the Sony PSOne screen operation dependant on there being a video signal present? I've just bought one off ebay and cant get the volume/brightness gfx to show, nothing works currently. I have no means to test it atm as my psone is in the post.

You should be able to get volume and brightness buttons to work and show the green bar on the screen, I believe; without a video signal. Best to wait until you get the PSone console, if it works fine on your home television but not on the PSone screen then it is likely that the screen is dead.

I'm afraid not. Franticly searching for something around the house to test the psu with, next on the shopping list is a multimeter.

Yeah good call, i'll wait till tomorrow to test it with a psone, then probably bite the bullet and open her up, it was only 14 quid any how.
