What are those 3 purple cords?

I don't have a psone screen yet.

I was looking at harshboys wiring diagram and I looked at the psone board and there's 3 purple cords all connected at the bottom of the board next to the av inputs.

What are these cords?
Are they 3 points that have to make contacts for the screen to work?

it's talked about in the screen hacking sticky, but those spots are for the headphones. If you don't plan on having headphones, then you have to connect those three spots together.
