On the topic of alternative cooling

I want to weigh my options for cooling in the N64p I'm building.

Factory heat dispersion
Pros: No work
Cons: Big

Heat sinks and fan
Pros: More efficient, can cram fan anywhere
Cons: Power draw, noise

Heat blocks and copper sheet dispersal
This is what I'm most interested in.
It would take up very little vertical space, and is just plain nifty.
The only problem is, I don't know exactly what it would take.
How thick of copper do you think I would need for it to work?
I wouldn't need a fan, would I?

Are there any other options?
In this thread, discuss cooling methods, pros and cons.
If there's enough good information, I'll write up some material for the sticky.

In theory a copper sheet would be great. Cut it the same size as the N64 board. Have it be a little thicker than the N64 board, though. Maybe half-again as big. You wouldn't need a fan.

This is all theory, of course. You'd have to test it extensively to be sure.

look, copper sheet cooling is great, but it is case sensitive (i sound like an online application form)
honestly, if you were to use the same scematics for a n64 as you did for your 360 (not saying you have one) you would fry the 360.
Anyway, i don't think anyone has tried it, so i'll look into it and get back to you later.
Also, if you are planning on usig the expansion pack, then you're going to need a lot more copper.

No expansion pack, too hard to relocate, too thick without relocation.
