How can I network my Dreamcast?

Includes but not limited to: SNES, Genesis, Sega CD, PlayStation 1, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast, Game Gear and I guess the Virtual Boy.

How can I network my Dreamcast?

Post by Jongamer »

I read here quite a while ago, that it is possible to run your Dreamcast 56k connection through a modem on your computer and have it use your Ethernet connection without the need for a rare Broadband adaptor.

I understand it will still be 56k speeds, but I was just wanting someone to tell me how, or give me a link to how to do this.

I shouldn't tell a old member this BUT USE THE SEARCH AND OR GOOGLE.

Seriously this thread was like 15 threads below this one.

That guide that it is linked is freakin' too much trouble.

Swap meathod? Count me out, I don't even think the swap method would work with my Cable Telephones, plus I have no Phone jack anywhere near my Dreamcast.

All I have are PCI modems, and I seriously don't feel like messing with a voltage adaptor.

I could have sworn there was easier way of doing this, all I thought was involed was to plug the Dreamcast into the PCI modem using its modem and a phone cord, then configuring your internet configuration to tunnel the Dialup connection from the Dreamcast through to your Broadband connection.

Oh and the Search feature is garbage, especially when you can only search once, and google gave me nothing but broken links and the same guide.

Well thats the only method. Or you could cough up for the broadband adapter.
