Read it, and read Tritons thread (Search "lifebook).
EEEpcs are cool, but this one performs way better than the 701, has a decent graphics chipset, bigger screen, and touch. Not to mention a nice keyboard.
The battery life clocks at about 2 hours for what I use it for, but you can get 3 hours out of it if you let speedstep work, and don't have it on max brightness. The best part is that it is only a 6 cell, 3600mah pack, which has obviously degraded a bit since when it was new, but you can buy 2400 cells very cheap now, so making a new improved pack with 4800mah would only be about $35! That would last at least 6-7 hours.

Tempting...GoldenfrankO wrote:I'll buy it for $155 shipped.
Right now, Dr. Killgood has first dibs, but because he is a flake, I doubt he will come up with the money (I gave him 8 days).
After that, cowsgoquack has dibs, with an offer of $135 shipped. I will gave him a week after killgood, so he has 15 days to get the money.
So unless cows posts saying I can take your higher offer, I am gonna have to honor out deal. But you are next on the dibs list.
I have no idea where that background came from, ask vskid or do some googling.

Excellent

Is this still available? My mom is finally getting her first laptop
, and I think this would be perfect for her needs.
