Does Aero run well on it? My specs where previously posted and according to Harshboy, I shouldn't even try because of my RAM but, if yours is running good so far, time for me to try.

My standards of usability are probably extremely higher than yours (Obviously if you're running such a garbage machine, in my eyes).

Yeah, it was actually much worse until a month ago
CPU- P4 2.8 GHz
RAM-256 MB
GPU-Nvidia 5200

And I wasn't really trying to insult you or anything I was just noting what you said. Sorry, for any misunderstanding.

It disables all of the aero features by default so far. Not really sure how to turn them on, or if it would even let me. I'll investigate a bit more. But, with that 256 RAM, it might be really really really clunky and slow. (It's a 1 gig min req.) But you never know, you should try.

Hmm. Anyone know how to force start aero?

It only shows windows basic theme, classic, and the background themes. I meet everything except the 1 gig of ram, but would that really stop it?

Worked a whole summer, bought Macbook. Waited 2 years, sold Macbook for $800, Bought new Computer for $800, Epic Win ever since!

Heart-Warming story.

Any idea how to force start aero? I tried making a DWM in the registry, and adding the blur values and the Enable Machine Check, but nothing changed.(even after restart)

I've been running it today. So far it seems pretty snappy, unfortunately I can't do much with it right now because it won't recognize my sound card. I would like to get fallout 3 running on it to see how it compares to good old xp.

I just finished installing mine on my old Dell Dimension 4600 (with upgrades) and so far its already acting faster than XP, and thats without my GPU and Sound Card drivers installed. I love 7
