Okay, ready?

1) You're using Alkaline AAs, and poor ones at that. There's no way they have enough current to power all that.

2) Do you have +5V going to the SNES and 7-8 going to the PSOne screen?

"6) i have a lead coming up from the +5 volts of the psone screen, but didnt connect it to anything, because i have no clue whats going on and the book is confusing. I did not turn the screen on now because i am not sure about it. so please reply ASAP with answers." FAIL

im sorry if you didnt understand what i meant....i know my wiring isnt right thats why im asking people how they wired theirs....i said that the psone screen is wired right meaning the leds inside oth them....so if anyone has pictures of how they wired their portable i would be so glad to see them!

Dude....that five volt line you were talking about. The one that doesn't go anyware? It hooks into the SNES. To the same location as the output pin of the 7805. On a large SNES its easier to tell the difference of the pins because they're marked on the board "I G O" Which is Input, Ground, and Output. The 5v line goes to the output. Which, as you face the front of the 7805, is the right-most pin.

Correct me if I'm wrong, guys.

To the original poster: Any luck yet?

Try NiMH Rechargeable batteries. You'd need to use 6 of them, at least. 7 would be a good number as well.

no, but i do have the 5v from the screen going to spot 3 on the snes.....still no luck though...

snes would probably draw too much current to be able to pull it off the screen

In the book, he says to power the SNES off the screen.
