Dual Boot on Separate HD's

I'm currently downloading the Windows 7 beta and I already have XP installed on my current HD. How would I set up the XP bootloader so that I can choose XP or 7 if 7 is on a different HD?
EDIT: or if you can suggest a different bootloader that would work and is easy to setup that would be good too.

You might as well unhook your regular hard drive first, just to be on the safe side.

Out of curiosity, where are you downloading the beta from? I can't find a link on Microsoft's website, though it does say "come back on the afternoon of January 9". It is the afternoon!

EDIT: Ooh direct links on Wired.

EDIT 2: The 32 bit version keeps stalling at around 400k. If it doesn't work this morning, I'll try the 64 bit version. (The Celeron D 351 is 64-bit...)

You want to make changes in the boot.ini file that is on your C: drive. I haven't looked at it much for a while, but, you should be able to get it working if you set the slave to hd(1) and you have the right partition pointed to (0) or (1).

I've never dual boot using the windows boot loader. So you might want to do a google search and find some better instruction.
