Where can I get these parts online?
I've already searched radio shack.com, ebay and google, it seems they are a lot harder to find than I thought.
1. 100 micro ferret capacitor
2. 2.2 kohm resistor
3. 7808 regulator
I need this stuff for n64 portable.
Thanks!

that's farad, not ferret. I can never figure out the american online suppliers, so here are some links on ebay:

Well, it helps to use the right terminology.
100 micro farad capacitor:

2.2kohm resistor:

7808 regulator:

(Or pull one from this $1 board)
(Or make one out of a 7805and some resistors)

No you don't!thewise1 wrote:

Nuh uh man!
You said you were making an N64, well, I assume you're using a PTH08080, hence the 2.2k Ohm resistor...
Well, that's not quite right exactly. (Sorta)
A 2.2k Ohm resistor gets you 3.1 volts, not 3.3.
A 1.8k Ohm resistor gets you a true 3.3 volts.
People say 2.2k Ohm resistor, because it's more common than a 1.8k Ohm one.
While 3.1 volts will work most of the time, it won't work all of the time. (Seriously, it's unlikely you'll have problems)
But hey, I'm a perfectionist.
Why not get a few free 1.8k resistors from me: http://forums.benheck.com/viewtopic.php?t=27753

You say 2.2k ohm resistors, when I bought some at Maplin a while back they were described as 2k2R ohm. Same thing I suppose, but might make it easier to find them.
N64 will work fine on the 3.3v line at 3.1v, 3.2v. 3.3v or 3.4v. So using 2K2R or 2k or 1K8R ohm resistors are both ok. My first N64 system worked fine on 2.9v as I recall, although that was only just ok.

Besides, what's wrong with just using the good old Omega Ω?!![]()
Also try writing Ω then write R. R is allot faster to write. When you start writing Ω really fast it starts looking weird.
