What's a good battery for a newbie?

I'm fairly new to modding so I need a battery that's easy to mod, I was thinking the polaroid pdv-0700 portable dvd player battery but there's no real wiring diagram. I heard it's a very good battery for it. Is there any good battery's that are easy to mod?

All batteries wire the same.
Pick your poison, the only differences are dimensions, voltage and capacity.

I mean like the circuit board, aren't those different on each portable dvd player?

Yes.
But there's still going to be only 2 wires that come off, and those are the 2 you need.

Get Ni-Mh if you don't want to become a burn victim. No, but seriously if you are this inexperienced stick with the safer batteries.
