Shortest pot analog stick
I need to put a joystick directly against my batteries, and I want it to be as low profile as possible.
Can anyone point me in the direction of the shortest possible stick?
If no, can some of you measure what you have? (mms please!)
Thanks!

The PSP one wouldn't work with a normal cap though, would it?
I know that the PS and GC caps are interchangeable.
I still want it to look like a standard stick.
I'l be shortening the shaft so that it the top is lower too. This will also lead to faster joystick action, and a general increase in awesomeness.
Do you have (or could easily obtain) measurements on those mechanisms?
"Pretty small" doesn't really cut it.

They didn't just use a 2nd PSP one?Kurt_ wrote:I do believe there is a smaller joystick than the PSP. Although not helpful at all, there's the re-engineered psp joystick designed to fit in the smaller space on the right of the psp for the dual-analog mod.
I've seen it done with DS2 sticks too.

the lowest one Ive used is the GC contollers C stick. if you cut it down to just the cap none of the nub its a perfect thumb pad. fit in place of the one on my psp with out much effort. there was a thing intec had called the GO PAD!! it had a zip or curl up cord I cant remember which that had the lowest looking one Ive seen. the thing was meant to pack up with your laptop gaming gear. worked quite well too.

I gave my friend one of those, I could take a look at it.vskid wrote:I was just at my local gamestop, and they had some used mini GC controllers with analogs that looked really small. It looked like they'd put the whole controller in a shrink machine. They were about $8, I could buy one and sell it to you if you can't find one.
