ps2 tests???
Hello, I got a broken ps2 from a resale shop and fixed it, I want to give it to a family member becouse they were nice to me recently. Any ways being thati got it from a resale shop i wanted to know if there were any simple tests and/or checks to make sure its working properly (so they dont get mad at me )

Yes.
Try a game with a silver backing, then a game with a blue backing, then a PSX game, then a movie DVD, then a music CD.
It ensures that all the laser focus mechanisms are operating correctly. If you cannot do all those steps, do as many as you can.
My PS2 cannot play PSX or music CDs, no real loss, as I have a PSone for that.
