How do i relocate the GBA SP buttons?

Hey im making a "better- in my percpective- looking" GBA SP, and i need help relocating the buttons, how do i do it?

Check out the portable-palooza thread for my Power GamBoy, I used an SP in that.

Basically, you take the SP motherboard out. See the little domes that click when you press them? Pry them off with a knife/exacto. There are two metal bits underneate, whenever they are connected by a wire, it presses the button. Just solder one wire to the slightly bigger metal bit, and another to any ground point on the SP. Hook those up to a membrane switch/tact switch, and when you press the new button, it will work on the SP.

If you can post pics, I can put some helpful arrows on it to show what I am talking about.

I tore the bumps off, but how much do i tear? i mean i took off the bump with the white thing, and now i have 4 metal bumps left.... pic ( b4 i tore anything...)

I think that is right. I am leaving soon, but I can check for you tomorrow on my SP down in the garage somewhere.

I personally tore off ALL that plastic, because it was smaller that way, but leaving the plastic underneath is probably easier.

If you cannot wait, you can try taking a wire and touching it to two of the little bumps at random with the GBA running. When the button is presses, it means those two points are the right ones.

Do you have a multimeter?

no multimeter.. and i can wait because i need to order a new charger anywayz

Also if i use a tact switch as the button, whicl leg would i connect the wire to ( or does it not matter?

Did you lose it, or do you think it is broken?

The GBA SP has a charging fuse that often blows.
